TEch GC 2 (Logic GC)

Name of the event: Tech GC2(Logic GC)

The GC was part of main technical general championship. The GC as name suggests was a logic GC. It was of three rounds and contained various kind of puzzles, riddles and mathematics problems in different interesting areas related to logic.

The enthusiasm of students at IITB was quite impressive and turn up was of about 250.

Cryptographic Wars

Name of the event:Cryptographic Wars
This was first talk by student of IIT Bombay. The talk was about cryptography which is art of encrypting messages in some code lanuguage. The talk also discussed about the machine which was used in the second world war for encryption of messages and was built by Germany.

The speaker for the talk was Abhilash Harpale (Aerospace Engineering Dept.), an enthusiast in the field of cryptography. The turn up for the event was about 50 students.

Math Olympics

Name of the event: Math Olympics.
This was the first event which was a kind of fun mathematics event.It contained the puzzles and maths problems. It was to check the basic skill in maths.

The turn up for the event was about 80 students. This was a team event, teams of 2 each.

Time : 8.30pm to 10.00pm

The GOD Particle revealed

Maths and Physics club organised a guest lecture titled "Gods particle" based on the underlying theory and invention of the Higgs Boson particle. The speaker for the talk was Prof. Kajari Mazumdar, eminent scientist from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research(TIFR), Mumbai. The event witnessed an immense turn-out of audience comprising of Senior Professors, PG and UG students of the Institute and more than 250 people attended the lecture. The Speaker, herself being involved with the famous CMS experiment, nicely explained the background theory of Higgs Boson from Particle Physics and the session ended with open interaction and Q&A between the speaker and the attendees.

Freshtech

This was on online logic trivia. It included questions which were subjective as well as objective.

The questions were based on integration, logic and basic maths.
